Ivy's Portfolio

Hi beautiful creatures, welcome. my name is Ivoria Kong, also known as Ivy from Ivy's Wire Wrap, the 26-year-old self-taught wire wrap jewelry artist behind the brand (I know, I know, quite the title here). Everything you see here are made by me. Below you can see some of my best creations and my story, so stay a while, hope you enjoy.

Jewelry that feels alive

I started making jewelry back in 2020, like a lot of people: stuck at home during the pandemic, bored, and needing something tactile. I ordered a bunch of crystals online, and once they arrived, I couldn’t just let them sit around. I’ve always loved decorating myself with makeup, outfits, jewelry, etc. so it made sense. I wanted to wear them--no, I wanted to show them off. Because of course, no way am I going to be the only one enjoying earth's greatest creations. Maybe in some ways, these beauties wanted to be shown off to the world.

There were a ton of mediums out there: lost-wax, electroforming, silversmithing, chaimail, metal clay, stained glass, etc etc etc. but wire wrapping was the most accessible to me at the moment. All I needed was wire, pliers, willpower, and time. I learned everything online. Tutorials, Instagram reels, YouTube, Pinterest, you name it. The first pieces I made were simple and a little boring, but they ignited something in me. Even after half a decade, I still look back at them with pride.

Fast forward to now: my work blends crystals, sea glass, shells, bones, coins, ceramic tiles, and random rocks I’ve picked up along the way. I forage. I scavenge. I follow curiosity into forests and beaches and thrift shops, and I make pieces out of what I find. A stranger once told me my jewelry felt organic, and that word lodged itself deep. That’s been the goal ever since: to create pieces that feel grown rather than built. Natural shapes. Flow over force. Nothing mass-produced.

In 2025, I started foraging and intentionally incorporating more natural elements. I’ve also been reworking my process to reduce plastic: no resin, minimal waste, recyclable packaging when possible. It matters to me that what I create doesn’t just reflect nature, but respects it too.

This portfolio page isn’t a full catalog. It’s a glimpse into the work that happens when I’m not uploading to the shop. Statement pieces, experiments, commissions, things that I loved making even if they never made it to the online collection.
